Vincent is from a winemaking family in Santenay dating back to the 17th century, however he wanted to strike out on his own and started with two hectares of vines inherited from his parents at the age of 19. Very quickly, the quality of his wines was recognized worldwide and allowed him to expand his business by focusing mainly on the great white and red wines of the Côte de Beaune.
His Clos des Aigrots sits northwest of the commune of Beaune where 40 year old vines provide the grapes for this wines. Aged for 15 months in oak barrels (30% new) this yields a focused and powerful wine with lots of spice and dark fruits. It roars onto the palate revealing a beautiful mouthfilling wine with great length. Enjoy with aged comte or game dishes.
