Australia has some of the oldest soils on the planet. Put that in the mix with ample sunshine and heat, diverse climates, and one of the most intensively innovative attitudes to winemaking in the world, it’s not surprising we have a lot of Australian wines on our books. 

Australia is the Wild West of winemaking - in a good way. There are no rules for winemaking, and no one style that could categorise the country; Australia, quite honestly, has everything. Sun-drenched regions with bold, generous, distinctive Shiraz; cool climate regions that produce some of the most elegant Rieslings on the planet; world-class traditional sparkling from Tasmania. New vines and funky varietals side by side with some of the oldest vines in the world. It is an insanely exciting place to visit, with hand-on-heart some of the best wines and warmest of welcomes. While I can't take you there, I can at least offer you a selection of some of the best out there.
