NEW VINTAGE! The Osmote Family is Ben, Brittnie (a good friend of DB’s) and Mia. Ben was born in the Finger Lakes, after much global winemaking travels, he’s returned home and lives with his family on the southern end of Seneca Lake. Their 31 acre farm is currently being developed as prime vineyard land. Along with grapes, the property is home to orchards, gardens and pasture-raised pigs! Ben takes a relaxed approach in the winery. It’s not laziness or a recklessly cavalier attitude towards the craft, but instead Ben’s conviction in the potential of the Finger Lakes terroir.

The grapes come from two vineyard sites on the Western shores of Cayuga lake - the longest of NY’s Finger Lakes at 40 miles long. With a maximum depth of 435ft this lake doesn't freeze in winter. The wine is broad and full bodied with ripe orchard fruit aromas. Textured and bright. Hand harvested, sorted, and whole cluster pressed. Long, slow natural fermentation in a stainless steel tank. Extended lees contact then filtered prior to bottling.
