Frimas is a standout dry Chenin Blanc from the historically sweet wine region of Bonnezeaux. Defying AOC regulations, this humbly labelled Vin de France comes from near Montagny and is a barrel-aged Chenin Blanc – a beautiful combo of exuberance and structure. High acid, tart orchard fruits mingle with a whisp of oak (from neutral barrels) and baking spice. Bonnezeaux are quickly gaining "cult" status – you'll just have to try it to understand why.
