Gavin Chanin is an artist. (That’s his artwork on the labels), and he was trained by wine artists — by the late, great Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat (Gavin was Asst. Winemaker) — among others. He has access to top fruit, mostly old vines planted in the 1970's and the results are stunning. Ethereal purity and age-worthy.
