Ben Riccardi has never been interested in making wine that behaves itself. "This is Red" is exactly the sort of bottle that reminds you wine is supposed to be fun: joyfully unconventional, and packed with energy from the first pour to the last.
Lightly fizzy with crunchy cherry, cranberry, raspberry and a little wild spice. Pop it in the fridge for half an hour and bring it to pizza night, charcuterie, fried chicken or the sort of party where nobody asks what they're supposed to taste. They'll just ask for another glass.
