This is a Franschhoek expression of 100% Syrah, grown on limestone soils. Whole bunch fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aged in older French oak barrels. Mphumi Ndlangisa went from selling sweets at school, to working as an investment banker, to being one of the few Zulu winemakers in South Africa. Pure syrah, organic fruit - light, lifted, great freshness, chocolate covered tart cherry - touch of VA - makes it exciting, gives it electricity. Let it breathe and you’ll be handsomely rewarded.
