The nose on this claret struck me right away, red fruit and spice. The wine envelops your palate, lots of opulent red fruits and thanks to a decade-plus in bottle, the wine is drinking exceptionally well, with a long soft finish and earthy tones. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot.
Château Paveil de Luze is one of the oldest properties of Médoc. Owned by the de Luze family since 1862! In front of the castle, 32 hectares, magnificently exposed East/West, have remained in one piece, sitting on the same ground for three centuries.Frédéric de LUZE and Stéphane Fort, owner and cellar master, have both succeeded their fathers to run the estate. A heritage and a deep sense of belonging to this property binds them in their work.
