Bacon jam, dark plum, with some delicious fresh oregano thrown in for good measure. Palate is concentrated but with balanced acidity and freshness. Deep, tilled earth give this wine a nuanced old-world tinge. Black pepper spice makes this a fantastic wine for steak night or grilled lamb, and some lively fine tannins make this a decidedly structured red. There's also some typically Chilean capsicum vibes at play here, making a nice connection to Loire Valley Cab Franc. - Nathan Lithgow
