Cara Sur is a collaboration between Sebastián Zuccardi, Marcela Manini, and mountaineering couple Nuria Año Gargiulo and Pancho Burgallo. Their mission: to revive San Juan’s ancestral vineyards and produce expressive wines from heritage Argentine grapes.
Pergolas Blancas is a blend of white Criolla varieties, including Torrontés Sanjuanino, Torrontés Mendocino, Malvasía, and Moscatel, grown on extremely high elevation (1500-1750m). The average vine age is 60+ years. Grapes are fermented on skins and aged in concrete, neutral oak, and glass demijohns.
Dry, mineral-driven and complex with citrus, chamomile, and delicate floral notes, plus a touch of green apple and subtle herbal character that adds to its complexity. There's a gentle grip on the finish that makes it beautifully textured. – Jennifer Bui
