Abrazos means “hugs” in Spanish – a fitting name for this wine, as the old Garnacha Blanca bush vines are so gnarled they look like they’re hugging each other. This is a joyful, aromatic white from Navarra in northeast Spain, bursting with citrus, pear and juicy peach. The palate is generous and textured, as it spent some time aging in a mix of concrete, neutral oak and stainless steel, yet it stays bright and fresh with a lovely mineral edge. Organically grown and made with minimal intervention, it’s a versatile, food-friendly wine. –Jennifer Bui
