Meet the Maker: Slobodne
Agnes and Andrea Lovecka are the winemakers at Slobodné in Majer Zemianske Sady in Slovakia. The winery has been in their family for countless years, although only recently reinvigorated after the tragic combination of the Second World War and 40 years of communism in the region. The family has painstakingly rebuilt the farm and its ecosystem over 25 years, finally launching Slobodné in 2010. They are one of the leading wineries of the natural wine movement in Slovakia.
