Quality Pinot Noir from France at this price point is hard to come by, but this friendly bottle from famed Languedoc estate Mas de Daumas Gassac ticks all the boxes. Very drinkable, food-friendly boasting red fruit and purity of fruit. This wine does not spend any time in oak. Of all the family's pairing recommendations - the two that stood out to me - 'legs with morels' and 'ham and endive'.
