This wine has it all. It's unoaked, so its a juicy fruit bomb with a lot of complexity. Lovely violets, on the nose, with a bit of tart candied cranberry. Raspberry and blueberries on the palate, with an underpinning of dark Galician slate, and a bright peppery finish – very typical for the grape variety. From 40 year old Mencia vines farmed organically. Perfect for Spanish tapas, lamb chops, cheeses, even a pepperoni pizza. Now I'm hungry.
