It was Dr. Konstantin Frank that first recognised the potential for cool climate Vitis vinifera viticulture on the gentle sloping shores of the Finger Lakes in the 1960's. Cabernet Franc has proven itself in terms of quality to reign as the leading red grape varietal of the region. Dr. Frank produces a classic example boasting medium-bodied red fruit with well integrated tannins and a touch of capsicum.
