This is the best place to start without breaking the bank — the OG — the Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay. It’s bright, juicy and floral, boasts great acidity and is oh so good friendly. The Wente family has a legacy with Chardonnay, propagating what is now called the "Wente Clone" in the 1800's. This clone is responsible for over 75% of California's Chardonnay today. It's known for tight bunches, high concentration of fruit, and lots of tropical notes. The namesake 'Morning Fog' is responsible for the lovely bright acidity, leaving you cool and refreshed; and the cheeky 3% of Gewürztraminer goes a long way to heighten the aromatics and texture.
