Greywacke is owned and operated by Kevin Judd, the former winemaker at famed Cloudy Bay. Founded in 2009, the name comes from the Greywacke rock (smooth grey river stones) found in New Zealand. The 2013 Wild Sauvignon is a library release - cellared at the winery until release this year! Think NZ Sauvignon Blanc can't age? THINK AGAIN. This is one of the first NZ Sauvy-B’s to be fermented with indigenous yeasts and long lees ageing adds texture. It has evolved into an even more complex and layered wine with great concentration. A ‘new’ New Zealand classic!
