Made by Martine Budé, a prodigious self-taught winemaker who set up her estate and has run it single handedly since her first vintage in 2015. She works with an 'infusion' style of winemaking, favouring gentle and light extractions, using only concrete vessels as opposed to the more tannic, oak-laden examples that are typical of Chinon.
Bright pops of cedar and graphite, surrounded by macerated strawberries and rich balsamic. Decidely Chinon and unabashedly Cabernet Franc, but draped in elegance. The tart finish and well managed tannins gets you salivating and chomping at the bit for your next sip/glass/bottle.
