Tenuta Stella are all about championing Friuli’s native grapes, and this blend of Refosco and Schioppettino shows just how much character they’ve got. Ripe, bold black fruits and cherry come through, with just the right amount of pepper, clove, nutmeg and sweet spice. The palate is silky-smooth with soft tannins and a little grip — generous with ripe fruit, robust but lifted by a clear freshness. – Jennifer Bui
