Micace - Abruzzo, Italy

Pure, vibrant, and boldy Abruzzo.

Born from a shared vision between friends Enrico, Paolo and Antonio, Micace is a young, dynamic project in the hills of Abruzzo. The trio met while studying viticulture and oenology at the University of Teramo, where a shared respect for the land and a desire to care for their local territory set the foundation for their winemaking philosophy.

Micace farms biodynamically, viewing agriculture as a living, self-sustaining system in which soil, plants, animals and people exist in natural balance, nurturing soil fertility and biodiversity. Vines are trained using the traditional Pergola Abruzzese system, which lets the canopy grow naturally and exposes grapes and leaves evenly to sun and wind, helping the fruit stay healthy and balanced.

In the cellar, they take a hands-off approach, fermenting with indigenous yeasts and no additives, so each grape variety can fully express its origin. Their approach in both vineyard and winery produces wines that reflect the energy and character of Abruzzo.
