The Hartl estate, located in the sun-rich Thermenregion of lower Austria, has a rich history spanning across 5 generations. The charming 16-hectare family winery is now run by dynamic and passionate winemaker Heinrich Hartl III and his wife Marie- Sophie. Together, they strive to showcase the exceptional winegrowing potential of the Thermenregion through their elegant, expressive wines.
Their hand-harvested vineyard sits on primarily limestone soil and is surrounded by the Vienna Forest, which provides a cooling influence for the dry, hot summers and extensive hours of sunlight. The couple embraces varieties like Pinot Noir, the local specialty Rotgipfler, and other indigenous Austrian grape
varieties that flourish in the region.
The Hartls commitment to sustainability, conscious treatment of nature, and the pursuit of excellence in winemaking has quickly garnered attention in the Austrian wine scene.
