Cantina Messori – Emilia-Romagna, Italy

HERITAGE MEETS FRESH ENERGY.

Cantina Messori traces its roots back to 1916, when Abbondio Messori purchased farmland near Correggio in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The Messori family has cared for the land for over a century, gradually transforming it from a traditional farm into a dedicated wine estate.

As one of the few estates in the region still entirely family-owned, the winery spans 26 hectares across Reggio Emilia and Modena. Here, the clay- and sand-rich soils, along with a warm continental climate, offer ideal conditions for crafting expressive, fruit-driven wines from native grapes like Lambrusco and Pignoletto.

A  turning point came when Elena Messori took the helm at just 25. With a bold vision, she transformed the business from supplying cooperatives to producing their own single vineyard estate wines, focusing on quality, authenticity, and sustainability, with an emphasis on prevention over intervention. Elena’s wines reflect her commitment to both heritage and innovation. They are honest, energetic expressions of Emilia-Romagna’s native grapes.
